Anchor, I grasp you tightly in the morning
Flesh to flesh, cheek to cheek;
Wrap your clinking chain around me
Like the strong vine that strangles the tree,
Extinguish not my heart;
Drumming muscle that leaps,
Runs to you;
Silence and warmth is drawn from the sun,
Air that is stilled
Let it be broken by sucked-in breath
Take your palm and fit it there,
Say to me “I’ve found you –
There you are,”
Fluttering clouds that exist in this dimension
Over soft plane and cushioned down;
I see your eyes and there’s no grey shine,
Warm sea laps gently and I sigh with grace;
So let me wrap bare limbs around you
And keep this here, always
